A community co-work 'n chill space where crafters and creators come together in collaboration & cohabitation. The lounge is home to some, host to many, and open to all as a shared maker space & cafe.
By day, cafe and studio vibes permeate w/ focused exploration & artistic creation. Evenings offer seminars & a potluck of possibilities for gathering and movement. The lounge exists in time flows, divided by vibe & practice :

Co-Work / Studio Space
Parallel play flexes across the sunshine hours @ the e-lounge. Two artists in residence will captain the daily studio practice where all are welcome to come and create. If you are interested in having a dedicated personal workspace for the season, hit us up here
Cafe
DIY anarchist kitchen with an endless drip of coffee, tea, oatmeal & smoothies. We ask if you use something, replenish / replace / donate in like or kind. Through cooperative practices rooted in reciprocity we will attempt to achieve shared kitchen harmony.
Music
Music is a portal for self expression and therapeutic exploration. A conduit for individual and collective experience facilitating enlightenment. Music creation and sharing will be core to the Electric Lounge’s vibration.
There will be a dedicated production space and ever-present DJ controller at the ready for all levels of practitioners to soundtrack the daily grind studio space. Periodically, we will commune in performative süs sessions featuring music, dance, visuals & (possibly) puppets
Seminars
Microtonal Study Group:
Come explore music beyond western music theory. Microtonal music theory dives into topics such as alternative tunings, harmony/dissonance, math/physics of sound, and human perception. We will be reading books together and discussing the topics. The goal is to gain a deeper understanding of harmony/dissonance for a wider range of emotional expression and to understand the underlying mathematics of the universe.

Music Creation Research Workshop:
The music creation research study group seeks to research and develop new techniques for music creation. This could involve new algorithms for synthesis, AI generation, scale creation, multiplayer music experiences, new software/hardware, sensors, data sonification, etc. Bring an experimental project/idea to work on, demo, and discuss.

Beat DJ Jam Sessions:
Beat DJ is microtonal music software for improvising live electronic dance music. It is like a hybrid between producing and DJing. The ultimate goal of Beat DJ is to allow more freedom of expression in electronic music with less preparation time. “Show up and play” is the idea. Sort of like improvising with any instrument. You control it by typing simple text commands into a command line interface that generates sounds using smart algorithms (not AI). Then you mix the sounds together from your headphones to the speakers like DJing. The jam sessions will be a time for people to come learn how to use it in a low stress environment. We will have one laptop set up with a timer to switch performers every 15-20 minutes for 2 to 4 hours. Nes will be there to help with any questions. Bring your own laptop to exchange sounds and install Beat DJ if you want. Private lessons will also be available for free.

Energy Systems
Interdisciplinary exploration of energy architectures through concepts such as duality, frequency, and octaves. Seminar style class with sessions flowing from a short presentation into group discussion & accompanied by weekly meditations and digital access to The Ascension Library.

Participation & Donation
Lounge operations are built upon anarchic anti-capitalist organizational ideologies. There are no membership fees. We are built on collective efforts and welcome contributions of matter, currency, and time based on what is most abundantly available to you. This space is as good as we make it, we respect the sovereignty of the individual while acknowledging the largest wealth gap of known history, the insidious attachment style of money, the advancement of sociopathic tendencies under the hegemony of capitalism, and the universality of right to exist, right to live, right to thrive. We are inheritors of a system, let’s reevaluate valuation.
Build
This is our first year hosting. Prior to doors opening in the New Year, we will be building her bones throughout December. Accepting donations of kitchen faire, tools, building materials, furniture, rugs, etc. If you’re available and would like to join in on the build fun, holler at us on signal.
