introduction to a holistic understanding of death, life, water, emotional stability (NVC: Non-Violent Communication) and all the in-betweens.
LETS TALK ABOUT DEATH…
Lets Talk About Death will explore the HUMAN experience endeavoring to expand the understanding of DEATH for all LIVING. Through the semester people will connect in talks, walks, tea, and creative computing for holistic understanding. (PLEASE do NOT duplicate course, no herbal ingestion required to participate)
Understanding the Breath

Contribute to online cabinet of memories “Remember Me”
Unless otherwise notified each class will consist of 3 parts. First traveling into nature to reach a destination suitable for tea. Second a tea picnic with a overview of the herbal tea and how it connects to mental stability. Third conversing on the days topic around death. Additional activities at hand when interest is shown.

Understanding the basics of Non Violent Communication (NVC)
a framework for interacting with ourselves and others with compassion and empathy. It follows four steps:
NVC is based on the idea that we all share universal human desires such as trust, safety, and appreciation. It allows us to empathize and think clearly, and as a result, reach a better and more honest understanding of each other. NVC has been used in global hot spots, corporations, parenting, and schools to help navigate conflict and deepen connection.
Week 3 endeavors into faith in STRANGE.

Understanding the importance of sleep and dream recall
Week 4 calls to the breath of TOLERANCE.

Pranayama is a collection of breathing exercises developed by ancient yogis for purification, mental focus rejuvenation, and healing. The word pranayama is a combination of prana and ayama, which translates to "to extend, expand or draw out" or "control," and yogis believe that this practice not only rejuvenates the body but also extends life itself.
Week 5 opens up to creative waves of coping with loss of self thru GRATITUDE.
